Konto löschen

Du kannst dein Bookling-Konto jederzeit löschen, in der App oder ohne App per E-Mail.
In der App
- Öffne Bookling und tippe oben links auf das Siegel, dann auf „Mein Konto“. Das geht im Regal und in jedem Buch.
- Ganz unten: „Konto löschen“.
- Gib zur Bestätigung deine E-Mail-Adresse ein. Das Konto wird sofort gelöscht.
Ohne App
Schreib eine E-Mail von der Adresse deines Kontos an info@niklaspape.de mit dem Betreff „Konto löschen“. Wir löschen dein Konto spätestens innerhalb von 30 Tagen und bestätigen es dir per E-Mail. Kommt die Mail von einer anderen Adresse, fragen wir zur Sicherheit an der Kontoadresse nach.
Was gelöscht wird
- dein Konto mit E-Mail-Adresse, Namen und Sprache,
- alle Anmeldungen und Sitzungen auf deinen Geräten,
- deine Ausschnitte und Kommentare im Lesesaal, deine Meldungen und Blockierungen,
- deine Stimmen auf dem Wunschbrett (deine Wünsche und Kommentare bleiben ohne Namen stehen, auf Wunsch löschen wir sie ganz),
- das Book-Buddy-Protokoll und deine Einwilligung,
- dein verschlüsselter Abgleichsraum (die Cloud-Sicherung deiner Bücher).
Ein laufendes Abo endet mit der Löschung sofort, ohne Erstattung für bereits bezahlte Zeit. Willst du die bezahlte Zeit noch nutzen, kündige das Abo zuerst unter „Abo verwalten“ und lösche das Konto nach Ablauf. Abos aus dem App Store oder von Google Play kündigst du in den Abo-Einstellungen deines Apple- oder Google-Kontos.
Was bleibt
- Deine Bücher auf deinen Geräten. Sie liegen bei dir, nicht bei uns. Lösch sie dort, wenn du sie nicht mehr brauchst; vorher lohnt eine Sicherungskopie über „Mein Buch als Datei“.
- Rechnungen bewahren wir so lange auf, wie es das Steuerrecht verlangt (acht bzw. zehn Jahre), gesperrt für jede andere Nutzung.
- Zwei Hashwerte zum Schutz der Probezeit (aus E-Mail-Adresse und Zahlungsmittel, nicht umkehrbar) höchstens 24 Monate.

Delete your account

You can delete your Bookling account at any time, in the app or by email without the app.
In the app
- Open Bookling and tap the seal at the top left, then “My account”. This works on the shelf and in every book.
- At the very bottom: “Delete account”.
- Enter your email address to confirm. The account is deleted immediately.
Without the app
Email us from your account address at info@niklaspape.de with the subject “Delete account”. We delete your account within 30 days at the latest and confirm it by email. If the email comes from a different address, we check back with the account address for safety.
What is deleted
- your account with email address, name and language,
- all sign-ins and sessions on your devices,
- your excerpts and comments in the reading room, your reports and blocks,
- your votes on the wish board (your wishes and comments remain without your name; on request we delete them completely),
- the Book Buddy log and your consent,
- your encrypted sync space (the cloud backup of your books).
A running subscription ends immediately with the deletion, without a refund for time already paid. If you still want to use the paid time, cancel the subscription under “Manage subscription” first and delete the account once it has ended. Subscriptions from the App Store or Google Play are cancelled in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account.
What remains
- Your books on your devices. They are with you, not with us. Delete them there if you no longer need them; a backup via “My book as a file” is worth making first.
- Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires (eight or ten years), blocked from any other use.
- Two trial-protection hashes (from email address and payment method, irreversible) for at most 24 months.
